Check out the video. Noosa Adventure – 3 Day Getaway in Noosaville, Queensland Australia

Brisbane > Noosa > Noosaville

Hey everyone. Welcome to my latest Vlog. Today we’re heading off to one of my favourite seaside locations – Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine coast north of Brisbane. We only have a short 3-day break, this place is crammed with fun & activities: Noosa Beach, National Park walks, food and shopping in trendy Hastings Street, fishing, Jet Ski Hire, BBQ’s & Picnics on the Noosa River. Did we fit it all in, we gave it our best shot, read on, let me know what you think in the comments.

I have a confession to make, most people including us, normally stay in Noosa. Not this visit, this time we booked our 3-night stay in Noosaville. Why do I hear you ask? Don’t get me wrong, Noosa is a fantastic place to holiday, and if you are staying in accommodation in Noosa, that will usually include car parking, but you are limited to Beaches, Hastings Street, and National Park walks. It can also be a little on the pricey side.

Noosaville – Noosa River Ferry Map

Noosaville, only a few kilometres away offers much more: Cheaper accommodation, Noosa River for fishing, Swimming, Jet Skiing, BBQ’s & Picnics, River walks, Noosa River Ferry – river transport to Noosa, stopping at the Sofitel Jetty and then easy access to Noosa Beaches and Hasting Street. Car parking in Noosa can be a nightmare, and if you use paid parking, how much would you expect to pay – paid parking station upwards of $9 / hour. Take the hassle of trying to park, stay in Noosavile, you can still go to the surf beach. Catch the ferry, there is also a bus service operating Noosaville to Noosa – stopping only a few hundred metres from the Noosa Surf Club. Translink (click here) will help plan your journey.

Bermuda VIllas

Imagine waking up in a stylish apartment in Noosaville. We are in the “burbs – suburbs,” the Noosa River slowly meandering by at the end of the street, the opposite end has a connection / bus route to Shopping and Noosa Heads. Bermuda Villas is our home base for a 3 – day escape filled with sunshine, delicious food, beaches, shopping and natural beauty.

We’ll explore the riverfront on leisurely walks, hop on a ferry to Noosa, indulge in gourmet coffee and mouthwatering pizzas, savor sizzling BBQ’S and enjoy idyllic picnics. Get some sand between our toes on the iconic Noosa Beach, where we’ll soak up the sun and catch a few waves, go shopping, Gelati’s on Hastings Street, and savor the local cuisine. For a taste of adventure, we’ll travel on a scenic hike to First Point in the stunning Noosa National Park.

Let’s dive into this Noosa Adventure!

Bermuda Villas Tropical Swimming Pool

Welcome to Noosaville! Nestled along the serene Noosa River, Noosaville is a perfect base for our Sunshine Coast adventure. We check into our cozy two-bedroom villa and take a moment to soak in these tranquil surroundings. Undercover parking is a plus, beautiful pool and BBQ’s, we’ll be enjoying these later.

Noosa River Walk. Fishing Picnics & BBQ’s

It was late afternoon; we started our exploration with a leisurely stroll along the Noosa River. This scenic riverfront walk is dotted with parks, picnic spots, and cafes. This is also the place for the terminals for Noosa River Ferry where you can board for a waterways trip to Hastings Street, Noosa (It’s worthwhile making this journey for the picture perfect scenery along the way). We stopped by one of the local cafes for a delicious coffee, pulled up a riverside picnic table under a very shady tree and planned our break. The laid-back vibe of Noosaville will instantly put you in vacation mode.

BBQ Food

As the day wound down, we headed back to our Villa. Tonight, we had organized a sumptuous BBQ feast and fresh salads. The grand kids took to the pool for an early night swim while we cooked our lavish dinner. A few cold beverages while we watched the footy, NRL – National Rugby League, on the extra-large screen TV, we couldn’t get the kids out of the pool, ending a perfect Day 1.

🔥Tip: Noosa Main Beach has many amenities, including public toilets, showers, changing room, picnic tables and BBQ facilities. The beach also has a lifeguard on duty year-round, making it a safe and enjoyable destination for families with children.

Rise and shine! IT’s a beautiful day! We’re heading over to Noosa Heads and starting our day at the iconic Noosa Main Beach. The soft, golden sands and gentle waves make it an ideal spot for a morning surf or relaxing beach walk. Don’t stress if you’re going to the beach and don’t have all the gear, Noosa Beach Surf Hire can help you out. Just bring your hat, sunscreen and swimwear. The rest you can hire – towels, umbrellas, lounge chairs, wetsuits, surfboards and security lockers etc. They are situated just opposite the Surf Club.

Late morning, the sun is high in the sky, the beach is starting to get crowded, time to leave; we’ve got more to see. Just a short walk from the beach, you’ll find Hastings Street – a bustling hub of trendy boutiques, cafes and galleries. Wander through the shops, pick up some unique souvenirs and enjoy a coffee at one of the cafes.

After all that exploring, we grabbed some lunch – Gelato ice-cremes were absolutely delicious. The choice of eateries, vibrant atmosphere and boutiques make Hastings Street a must visit.

Coastal Walk to First Point & Noosa National Park

Once refueled, it’s time to head to Noosa National Park. Winding its way past the Noosa Surf Club, the park’s coastal trail offers breathtaking views of the Ocean and the chance to spot local wildlife, including koalas and dolphins. This coastal track is very popular, leading you to First Point and onto stunning viewpoints like Hell’s Gates and Sunshine Beach. 🔥Tip: Don’t forget your camera – great place for a selfie or two, the vistas are stunning.

The day was ending, we returned to Noosaville to a delightful dinner on the waterfront. Whether you prefer fine dining, pizzas, seafood or just a casual meal, the area boasts a range of restaurants to suit every palate. Enjoy fresh, locally sourced ingredients and savor the flavors of the Sunshine Coast, most places having glorious river views. We had pizzas and a cold beverage or two – BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Checkout time is 10am, the car is packed but we still have the whole day in front of us. Kick off your final day with some water-based activities. Rent a kayak or Jet Ski (Terrace Marina) and explore the calm waters of the Noosa River. It’s a fun way to start the day, and you’ll get to see Noosaville from a different perspective. If that all sounds a little bit hectic join the locals for a fine coffee brew (Noosa Riverfront Café) and a special treat while relaxing in the seating watching the Noosa River meandering by. If you still want to get out on the water, I can totally recommend hiring a BBQ Pontoon Boat, take a picnic lunch, do some fishing, motor around this pristine River exploring secluded beaches and waterways, the family and grandkids will love it.

As our 3-day getaway ends, we bid farewell to Noosaville with a heart full of memories, what a short break we have had!!! From the serene strolls and picnics along the Noosa River, superb pizzas with stunning river views, the family jet skiing and the BBQ pontoon boat – fishing, exploring the surrounding waterways, every moment has been a blend of relaxation and discovery. The breathtaking views of the Noosa National Park and the golden sands of Noosa Main Beach are forever memories that won’t be forgotten.

We’re heading home, the charm and beauty of this Sunshine Coast gem will stay with us long after we’ve left. We crossed off a lot of “To Do” things, each journey has added a unique experience to our travel story. But this region has so much more to offer, with a spirit of adventure and the promise to return to this coastal paradise. Until next time.
