A day out was planned and there is nothing like a good coffee and hearty breakfast to kick off the day. ROAD TRIP’N has been there before so it was timely with the Queensland school holidays in full swing that we revisit one of my favourite spots, Queens Park, Ipswich and the Queens Park café. Situated in Queens Park Ipswich just west of Brisbane they are open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week and this location really packs a punch for the variety of attractions that are available.
The café is not the only reason to visit this Park as this place is truly a destination that the whole family can enjoy. Piles of play areas for the kids, open grassy areas with plenty of shade to spread out the picnic blanket with BBQ’S a plenty with under cover seating areas situated throughout the park.
Take a walk through the peaceful Nerima Japanese Gardens or take a leisurely stroll down the winding paths of the Ipswich Nature Centre where the antics of the local wildlife will melt your heart and the birds in the aviary will keep you entertained for hours.
🔥 Tip: Except for the Café, Queens Park attractions are FREE.
- There are several toilets scattered around the Park area for public use.
- Free Parking is available both within the grounds and the surrounding side streets.
- There are also several seating areas and shady spots under the tress to spread out the picnic blankets if you are BYO picnic goodies.
